About the Inventor

My name is Jason Griffin, the inventor of the Quick Strain Tin. I am originally from a small town in South Georgia called Valdosta. I grew up the youngest of six in a perfectly-loving, middle-class family in culture-rich, low-income neighborhood on Jackson Street. After High School I attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering. Tallahassee is where I first got my feet wet behind a bar called Club V-XII and then Bullwinkle’s, one of the ‘Top 10 College Bars’ in the nation. Thinking of both of them definitely makes me smile.
The modeling industry brought me out to LA for a fun-filled, exciting struggle for a year and a half. After leaving the Sunset Strip, I ended up under the sun in San Diego. This is where I’ve worked, partied, laughed and learned with some of the greatest examples of what is best about the restaurant/bar industry.
I love to learn, smile a lot, try to use my two ears and one mouth proportionately and truly enjoy life. That’s definitely enough about me. So, I’ll leave you with my bartending work history and one of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou, “Life loves to be taken by the lapels and told ‘I’m with you kid, Let’s go!”
